Project Details

The Sheerness project is located on approximately 120 acres of privately owned land within Special Area No. 2, specifically in the southwest quarter of Section 1, Township 29, Range 13, west of the Fourth Meridian. 

The project will connect to the electrical grid via ATCO and will consist of 31,400 solar modules, utilizing a SAT racking system, with four inverters, and the total Project capacity to be exported to the grid has remained at 13 megawatts (MWAC). 

Over its 25 year life time the Sheerness solar farm will reduce carbon emissions by 283,136 tonnes and generate enough energy to power 2,431 Albertan households.
